To Remember is to Resist | Throw
100% cotton jacquard weave
Size: approx. 180 x 135 cm [due to the textile, size may vary slightly]
A series of jacquard-woven graphic blankets reproducing To Remember is to Resist — the award-winning poster originally exhibited as part of the Graphic Dissent group exhibition at ICD Brookfield Place.
Translating the original typographic and graphic composition into woven textile form, the blankets extend the poster beyond print into a functional object rooted in themes of memory, land, resistance, and collective identity.
To Remember is to Resist is an ongoing series anchored in Mahmoud Darwish’s words–On this land, there is that which deserves life | على هذه الأرض ما يستحق الحياة–a poetic reflection where memory, land, and life are inseparable.
